Special Invitation for Homestay in Hyogo Prefecture
To All JETAA members,
I worked as an ALT in a very rural and very beautiful town in western Hyogo Prefecture, called Kozuki, for three years. I have since been employed in the same community as ‘International Affairs Director’, and as such it is my pleasure to extend to you this invitation.
I have been given leave to extend to JETAA members passing through this area an invitation to visit Kozuki for a home stay. A 'host family bank' exists in this town, created from a group of families which has hosted foreign students in the past. These families would be pleased to be your hosts, should you wish to spend a few days here with us among the green mountains, clear rivers and lush valleys of a truly ‘inaka’ region.
This invitation is open-ended. Any JETAA member who will be passing through western Hyogo Prefecture (the region including the cities of Himeji, Ako, Yamasaki, Taishi, Tastuno, etc…) and has an interest in spending some time in the countryside, please contact us at the Kozuki Public Hall.
If you wish to find Kozuki’s location on a map (it must be a very detailed map, as Kozuki is small), the kanji for “up” (ue) and “moon” (tsuki) form the characters for 小月. It is located on the Hyogo side of the Hyogo and Okayama prefectural borders.
Your stay in Kozuki will cost you nothing.
I look forward to hearing from you.
